Mangoku is a community platform for tracking and discovering manga, manhwa, manhua, and anime. We collect only what is necessary to run the service. We do not sell your data, ever.
Your data is used exclusively to operate the service: authenticating your account, displaying your profile and lists, storing content you choose to post, and powering Discord bot features if you have linked your account. We do not use your data for advertising or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
If you link your Discord account under Settings, we store your Discord user ID alongside your Mangoku profile. This is used to display your stats in the Discord server (leaderboards, profile lookups) and to associate bot interactions with your account. You can unlink your Discord account at any time from Settings, which removes the stored ID.
Account, list, and profile data is stored securely via Supabase (PostgreSQL). Uploaded images are stored on Cloudflare R2 and are served publicly. Do not upload anything you want kept private. Both services follow industry-standard security practices.
Your username, display name, avatar, reading list (if set to public), group posts, and comments are visible to other users. Your community ratings contribute to aggregated title scores but are not individually identified. Treat anything you post as public. If you want something removed, delete it yourself or contact us.
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or third-party advertising cookies.
Manga and anime metadata is sourced from public APIs including AniList, MangaDex, Kitsu, and Jikan. We store only metadata such as titles, covers, and descriptions. We do not store chapters or episodes. Reading links on title pages point to external sites we have no control over and whose own privacy policies apply.
You can edit or delete your account data at any time from Settings. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, list, and personal data from our systems. Posts and comments you made may remain in anonymised form unless you delete them before closing your account.
Mangoku is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it promptly.
If we make meaningful changes to this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Mangoku after changes means you accept the updated policy.
